Teampel supports voice call and provides two options for you. One is a built-in voice service and does not require additional voice server settings and voice account;The other is a 3rd party SIP server, which requires you to fill in the 3rd party SIP server information and assign and bind SIP accounts for members.
You can select 3rd party SIP server in "Service" - "Voice service", and fill in the SIP server address;In "Organization" > "Organization management" you can bind SIP accounts for your team members.Team members can call each other after signing in with their SIP accounts on Teampel client.
Recommended SIP server:Asterisk, miniSIPServer。
Enable voice call service
- Select "Service" > "Voice service".
- Switch "Voice service" on.
- Click "Save"。VoIP call enabled.
Set up voice service
- Select "Service" > "Voice service".
- Allow voice call service:Set up the available platforms for voice call feature.All platform clients are available by default."Desktop only" and "Mobile only" are additional options.
- Select voice service:Set up the selected voice service.Teampel built-in voice service is used by default.You can select "3rd party SIP voice server" and fill in "SIP server (local IP or domain name)", "SIP server (external IP or domain name)", "SIP proxy" and "STUN server".Please follow this format IP (or domain name) :Port. If the port number is 5060, the ":Port" can be omitted.
- Click "Save"。Setup completed.
Create SIP account for member
When "3rd party SIP voice server" is selected,you need to assign and bind SIP accounts for members.
- Select "Organization" > "Division tree".
- Click "Edit" to the right of the member on the member list.
- Enter "SIP account" into the pop-up "Edit member" dialog box.
- Click "Save" button.
SIP password
Pass the SIP password to your team members via email, Teampel message, etc.
